Outfit Concepts
A lot of thought went into the outfits donned by Julian in the Songs of Death comic, and I went through many versions of clothing with slightly varied details.
Parts of the story require him to visit colder climates, which means having some warmer clothing, while other outfits are meant to make for easier movements in warmer climates.
These are just a sampling of the sketches created for his clothing throughout the story.
Magic Tattoos
Part of designing the characters for this project involves creating sketches of what all of their important markings and distinguishing features look like.
This is an example of how magic use appears on one of the characters when he’s channeling energy.
Theo
Some of the polished concepts of Theo’s outfit with slight variations.
Luciro
Luciro in both his human and partially demon visages. This was to showcase the differences between the two versions of him as well as work out some different angles and hair styles.
Kato
The original concept for clothing that Kato would wear in his part of the story. This design will likely be scrapped for a better design int he future, but I thought I’d share it anyway as part of the process.
