Why there are multiple languages in use
While I know I can just use English for all of the races and cultures in the project, I wanted to use language as a way to express more individuality in the characters and how they handle mingling with characters of other races.
I’ve been wanting to design the alphabets and languages for a few races for a very long time and am working on that now.
In time, angels and demons will have their own alphabets and languages, at least to some extent, along with the “lost” Atlantean language that is still natively spoken by some of the main characters of the project at times.
The Atlantean Language
I’ve taken some time to work out what the Atlantean language of the Unspoken Gods universe would look like when written, mainly as a passion project, but also as it may come in handy later in the project.
This iteration of the alphabet is still fairly early and may change as development progresses, but I’ve chosen to design it so that it feels intelligent and mildly futuristic while also feeling ancient.
