Races
There are several races that will feature throughout this project.
The most prominent are angels, demons, gods, and humans. Among humans, there are obviously many races, but much of the Earth Realm storytelling will take place in the Mediterranean and surrounding areas. Atlantis is home to its own race of humans, and the Atlanteans will feature throughout.
Demons
Yes, there are races even among the demons, but these may go unnamed and unspecified for simplicity’s sake, at least for the time being. The important thing to note is that demons tend to share a lot of the same key features - usually horns, sometimes a tail (or multiple tails), sometimes wings, sharp teeth, and eyes accustomed to the dark. Not all demons possess every feature, but each will typically have at least one or two of those listed above.
There are different demons for different regions of Inferis, each evolved to adapt to the specific environment in that area.
Angels
Everyone knows what an angel is, but there has always been contention about how they look. In the Unspoken Gods universe, they present themselves as humanoid, whether to humans or to other angels or races. They’ve made this decision so as to more easily move through the many realms and dimensions without being noticed as easily.
Most angels will appear with feathered wings, but some will choose to hide those as well. Some angels will choose to honour their true form in some way, sometimes having four or more wings, other times donning a crown or halo, and on rare occasions, they will look like a strange mix of human and their original form.
Gods
The gods of the project include original gods of my own creation and gods of several cultures, including Greek, Roman, and Egyptian. Which gods are included will depend on who I think will fit the story best, but each of the traditionally recognized gods may have changes to their traditional lore in some ways. Poseidon will still be the god of the sea, but maybe some characteristics will be altered.
My plan for the gods of this project is to envision the progression of their stories, not retell the same lore that’s been told for centuries, so you shouldn’t expect another Hades and Persephone love story or anything of the sort.
Atlanteans
The Atlanteans are obviously human, but the royal bloodline has descended from Poseidon himself. They are close allies of the Egyptians and have major trade routes through the Greek Isles and the rest of the Mediterranean.
